National Central Fishing Port Huangshagang Planning Renderings

Recently, China Railway Construction Investment Group Corporation Limited, as a leading member, formed a consortium with China Railway Construction Fund Management Corporation Limited, China Railway SIYUAN Survey and Design Group Corporation Limited, China Railway 16th Bureau Group Corporation Limited, as well as CRCC Harbour and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Corporation Limited, officially won the bid for the construction project of Huangshagang National Central Fishing Port in Yancheng. This is the first fishing port financed and built and operated by private capital in China, marking another major breakthrough by CRCC in the field of specialty, elaboration, uniqueness and novelty business.

Huangshagang Fishing Port is located at Huangshagang Town, Sheyang County, Yancheng City. It is the second largest fishing port in Jiangsu Province and the only national central fishing port in Yancheng City. The total investment of the project is estimated as RMB 6.134 billion yuan, which is, in terms of construction, divided into two phases and three parts. The investment of the first two parts in phase I is about RMB 3.6 billion yuan. After the completion, the project is able to both meet the daily docking operation of more than 500 fishing boats, and provide shelter from wind for more than 3,000 fishing boats.

In the construction of Huangshagang National Central Fishing Port, all the participants from CRCC will give full play to the advantages of investment, construction and operation of the whole industry chain, and build a leading modern fishing port in China with the the modern intelligent fishing port as the overall goal of "first-class facilities, first-class equipment, first-class industry and first-class management". Meanwhile, there will be supporting construction of advanced and complete oil sewage, domestic and production sewage, solid waste collection system, with focus on establishing trade distribution, aquatic products processing, cold chain logistics, fishing equipment manufacturing, fishermen's life services, themed tourism and leisure and other industrial functions and service modes. Finally, it will help Huangshagang Fishing Port to form a domestic first-class fishing port economic zone with thriving industry, highly efficient environmental protection, unique landscape, strong support, huge potential and rich industrial chain.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs clearly stated in the Notice on Printing and Distributing the National Coastal Fishing Port Construction Plan (2018-2025) that China will promote the formation of 10 coastal fishing port groups and 93 fishing port economic zones, drive the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and form an industrial scale with an output value of a new additional trillion yuan, making it become a fishing growth point and a coastal economic and social development growth pole.

The implementation of the National Fishing Port construction project of Huangshagang in Yancheng will help CRCC explore the market segment of fishing port economic development, accumulate valuable experience in the construction and operation of fishing port economic zone, and contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of marine fisheries and the building of a maritime power.
