On April 13, after expert commissioning and review, the Fangqiao PV Power Generation Project in the Beijing Section of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project under the concerted efforts of CRCC and China South-to-North Water Diversion Group New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. was successfully completed. This is the first cooperation between these two central enterprises in the field of new energy and also a powerful witness to the industrial interconnection and high-quality green development of both parties.

Completed Fangqiao PV Project

The project is located in Fangshan District, Beijing, where there are abundant solar energy resources. Under the overall responsibility of China Railway 14th Bureau Group Electrification Engineering Co., Ltd., the construction of the project was officially started on November 16, 2021, which made full use of the roof of the industrial park of China Railway 14th Bureau Group Fangqiao Co., Ltd. The project is designed in the way of "power generation for own use, surplus power feed into the grid", and is built into a distributed photovoltaic power generation system.

During the construction, they overcame the difficulties of the tight schedule and heavy workload, and adopted the world's leading photovoltaic modules to convert solar energy into direct current, and then convert direct current into alternating current through the inverter. The project can automatically collect data for remote monitoring, and provide clean energy continuously for 25 years after its completion, making a positive contribution to the improvement of the atmospheric environment and the achievement of the country’s "carbon peak, carbon neutrality" goals.

"Fangqiao PV Project just opens a window of 'engineering construction + PV power generation' model. We have projects all over the country, with considerable quantity and area, many of them can be constructed for PV power generation, and we can see a great prospect in the future," said the project leader.

The Fangqiao PV Project is a great attempt of cooperation by two central enterprises in new energy investment and construction. Both parties leverage their own brand and resource advantages to support each other in terms of talent introduction, development planning, construction investment, engineering and operation management, thus deepening cooperation, stimulating new dynamic energy, and promoting new development in mutually complementary and reinforcing industries.
