Recently, the construction of the Tieli Station Building Project on the Tie-Yi Railway constructed by CRCC North China Company officially started. The demolition project of the temporary station building foundation and social pedestrian overpass is in full swing, which kicked off the construction of the northernmost high-speed rail project in China.
The railway from Tieli to Yichun (hereinafter referred to as "Tie-Yi Railway") to be constructed is located in Yichun City, north-central Heilongjiang Province. It is the northernmost high-speed rail line currently under construction in China. The Tie-Yi Railway is led out from Tieli Station along the corridor of Hegang-Harbin Expressway, passes through Tieli City under the jurisdiction of Yichun, Tieli Forestry Bureau, Qing'an County and Cuiluan District of Suihua City, to Yichun West Passenger Station in the south of Yichun Power Plant in Wumahe District. The whole line has three stations: Tieli, Riyuexia and Yichun West, all constructed by CRCC North China Company.

The Tieli Station, the first to be built, is located in Tieli City, Heilongjiang Province, and is renovated from an old station, with a structure of two layers aboveground and one layer underground. The concept of "blending with mountains, rivers and trees" is adhered to in the design of the station building and a "three-segment" layout is adopted, with the entrance and waiting hall in the middle, the ticketing area on the right and the exit hall on the left. The total area of the renovated station building will be about 5,000 square meters, twice the original one and accommodating 1,000 passengers waiting for trains concurrently.
According to the latest requirements of the "Outline of Railway First Planning for a Country with Powerful Transportation in the New Era" of China Railway, the Project Department of Tieli Station, together with CRCC Railway Station Research Institute, applied a prefabricated canopy system in Tieli Station which offers the advantages of saving labor, shortening construction period, low carbon and environmental protection, excellent appearance effect, low maintenance cost and so on. Upon its completion, Tieli Station will be the first project using prefabricated canopies in China.

Since entering the construction site, Tieli Station Project Department has always complied with the local COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control requirements, and has deliberately planned and organized the entry of personnel, materials and mechanical equipment in advance. Due to the scarcity of large crane equipment resources within Yichun City and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was very difficult for 650-ton and 240-ton crane resources and drivers used for the demolition of the pedestrian overpass to enter the construction site. The Material Department of the Project made active coordination for large equipment resources within the scope of Heilongjiang Province and solved the transportation and personnel quarantine problems, ensuring smooth arrival of equipment and personnel at the construction site before the start of construction.
It is learned that, after its completion, the project will drive a number of cities along the route into the era of high-speed rail, which will greatly facilitate the people's travel, and will be of great significance in boosting local economic growth and promoting coordinated regional development.
